Hard probes of non-equilibrium quark-gluon plasma

چکیده
Jets and photons could play an important role in finding the transport coefficients of quark-gluon plasma. To this end we analyze their interaction with a non-equilibrium Using new field-theoretical tools derive two-point correlators for plasma which show how instabilities evolve time. This allows us, first time, to finite rates medium. We furthermore that coherent, long-wavelength instability fields Abelian limit do not modify rate photon emission or jet-medium interaction.

Hard QCD Probes to Quark-Gluon Plasma
Completely unexplored regimes of QCD, dominated by high-density/temperature effects, are available in heavy ion experiments at collider energies. The successful RHIC program shows how relevant the high transverse momentum part of the spectrum is for the characterization of the properties of the created medium. It points, as well, to interesting properties of the nuclear wave function at small f...

Some aspects of heavy flavor probes of quark-gluon plasma (QGP) including quarkonia and open heavy flavor D-and B-mesons, aimed to study the properties of QGP, are discussed in this lecture note.

We study the production and the evolution of quark-gluon plasma expected to be formed in ultra relativistic heavy-ion collisions, within the color fluxtube model. We introduce the gluonic component in the Boltzmann equation, which we solve in the phase space which is extended to include the SU(3) color degree of freedom. The color degree of freedom is shown to play a decisive role in equilibrat...
متن کاملHeavy-Quark Probes of the Quark-Gluon Plasma at RHIC
Thermalization and collective flow of charm (c) and bottom (b) quarks in ultra-relativistic heavyion collisions are evaluated based on elastic parton rescattering in an expanding quark-gluon plasma (QGP). We show that resonant interactions in a strongly interacting QGP (sQGP), as well as parton coalescence, can play an essential role in the interpretation of recent data from the Relativistic He...
متن کاملHard Thermal Loops , Quark - Gluon Plasma Response
I outline various derivations of the non-Abelian Kubo equation, which governs the response of a quark-gluon plasma to hard thermal perturbations. In the static case, it is proven that gauge theories do not support hard thermal solitons. Explicit solutions are constructed within an SU (2) Ansatz and they are shown to support the general result. The time-dependent problem, i.e., non-Abelian plasm...
